Updated Online Banking & Mobile App
We know you're busy. So let us lighten the load.
Your online banking and mobile app received an overall facelift. You might have some questions. Here are some answers.
1) How do I update my online banking and mobile app?
No need to do anything. We will take care of the online banking platform and you'll notice the updates when you first log in. Depending on your mobile device, you will be directed to your respective app store for any necessary updates.
2) Will I need to update my username and password?
The short answer is no. You don't have to update your credentials. However, members who have used biometrics to log in will be prompted to re-enable them when they select 'save username' on the app.
3) So what's new with the update?
There are a few key features that should make your life a little easier. Here are some highlights:
- You will be prompted periodically to update your contact information. We use contact information as one of several ways to verify your identity when you need help so having current info makes it easier for you to receive the help you need when you need it.
- You can now apply for a loan from the main menu. Being an existing DATCU member has its perks, and since we know you already, you can apply for a loan in a much more efficient manner by skipping a few steps in the contact information gathering process.
- There is a simplified card view option so you can now see all of your cards in one location.
- The 'Card' section also lets you order a new card when you accidentally leave it at the gym and/or it gets damaged when your dog chews it up. We've been guilty on both fronts. Don't feel judged.
- You can lock your card and order a new one if it ever gets stolen. We're here to help protect you in that scenario so never hesitate to let us know if this happens.
- Redeeming credit card rewards has never been easier, so if you want that new pair of shoes, go for it! You can find that option in the 'Cards' section.
4) How can I make the most of the updates?
We're pretty excited about the new accessibility features and hope you take advantage of them to personalize your experience as much as possible. Here are just a few:
- There are eight color blind modes so you can customize colors depending on how you see the world.
- We know some of you like a dark screen while others prefer a light screen. Now, you can enable/disable dark mode to meet your preference.
- Righties and lefties unite! In the app, you can choose which option suits your thumb position best.
- No need to translate. We now have English and Spanish options.
- You can pick the font. We now have a range of fonts to select including Arial, Open Dyslexic, Times New Roman, and Veranda.
